1. USB Connection Steps

  1. Step 1: Turn on the USB debugging mode of your phone
  2. Step 2: Use a USB data cable to connect to the computer
  3. Step 3: Open Panda

2. How to Turn on USB Debugging Mode

Different models of mobile phones have different ways to open it. Please search on Google for your specific model.

Example using Samsung:

Step 1Go to Settings > tap "About phone"
Step 2Click "Software Information"
Step 3Click the version number 3-7 times until "Developer mode is enabled" appears
Step 4Return to settings, "Developer Options" is now displayed
Step 5Click "Developer Options", turn on "Developer Options", then turn on "USB debugging"

Required Developer Options

  • [USB debugging] - Turn ON
  • [Allow USB installation] - Turn ON (for installing the screen projection keyboard)
  • Xiaomi/Redmi: Turn on [USB debugging - security settings], otherwise can mirror but cannot operate
  • VIVO: Turn on [simulated clicks], otherwise can mirror but cannot operate
  • Huawei/Honor: Turn on [allow USB debugging only in charging mode]

Change USB Mode

Change the USB charging mode to [Transfer File] or [MIDI].

Cable Requirements

  • The cable must have a data transfer function (some cables can only charge)
  • Best to connect to the USB port on the back of the computer host (more stable)
  • Best to use the USB 2.0 port (black USB port)

3. USB Mode Screen Projection Is Unstable?

Solutions:

  • Cable cannot connect → Replace with the original cable
  • Tail plug of the phone is damaged → Replace the mobile phone device
  • USB port underpowered → Use the USB 2.0 port on the back of the host, or increase power supply
  • Hub underpowered → Reduce the number of devices connected to the hub

4. USB Screen Projection Fails?

  1. Is the system Win7? Recommended to upgrade to Win10 or install Android driver.
  2. Is the Android system version above 7.0? Below 7.0 is not compatible.
  3. Is it a Huawei phone? Follow the steps below:

Huawei Phone Connection Steps

  1. Install Huawei Mobile Assistant on the computer
  2. Use USB cable to successfully connect the phone and Huawei Assistant
  3. The phone will push the Huawei driver, click to install
  4. After driver installed, exit Huawei Mobile Assistant on the computer
  5. Replug the USB cable, the phone will pop up an authorization box, click "Allow"
  6. If still doesn't work, try restarting the phone

Additional Troubleshooting:

  1. Make sure the USB cable supports data transmission
  2. Plug into the USB 2.0 port on the back of the computer host
  3. Make sure the computer can recognize the mobile device
  4. Click [Fault Detection] on the Panda software page to check device recognition
